Grant Opportunities - The Very Small Meat and Poultry Processor Reimbursement Grant Program has been reopened and applications are due by at 5:00 PM on Friday, Sept. 26, 2022. These reimbursement grants are limited to $100,000 per applicant and can be used to cover the cost associated with obtaining a grant of inspection from USDA Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS), opening a new very small meat and poultry processing operation, expanding the capacity of a current very small meat and poultry processing operation, or a combination of those purposes. Click here for more information.


The Food Safety Modernization Act Made Simple

This session will focus first on a 5-step process to learn what customers want, gather business resources, take steps to make food safety visible, reset by reflecting and refreshing, and then get ready to take on “the next big challenge.


The USDA's Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) Grant provides funding to agricultural producers and rural small businesses to purchase or install renewable energy systems, or make energy efficiency improvements. The awards were recently announced - congratulations to our five clients who received REAP grant funding for their solar, coal dryer, furnace and reverse osmosis projects!


Farm Vitality Planning Grant - A Pennsylvania Farm Bill Program

The Farm Vitality Planning Grant Program will help fund professional services for those planning for the future of a farm. The program will enhance the long-term vitality of Pennsylvania's farms through sound business planning, efficient transitions of farm ownership, strategic farm expansion, diversification of agricultural production, and building a team of financial and technical expertise as a resource for Pennsylvania's farmers.
