The SPC Children's Christmas Celebration

On Sunday, December 10, Sligo Presbyterian Church celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ at a youth-oriented worship experience. It was presented by some young people from Clarion's Dancer's Studio Performing Arts Center and some children from our congregation.

Below is a video of the service, an introduction written by Amanda Gallagher, the owner of the dance studio, and some pictures of the children. As a congregation, we thank all those involved.

It is Christmas Time and as a church, we will raise our eyes and our voices to praise why the season is important to us. This service is to celebrate the upcoming birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the upcoming weeks by sharing our gifts that he has blessed us with.

This is a time to remember what sacrifice God made for the sinners of the Earth. This is a time to smile and be joyous because the Lord is good, and we do have so many blessings.

It is my great honor to lead this celebration today. Let us reflect and celebrate the importance of God in all aspects of our lives through music and dance.

I want to take this opportunity to thank my Dancer’s Studio students that are here today, the DSPACP kiddos and all the parents for showing up today, and to God for granting us this opportunity to congregate here today to share our God given talents.

While we celebrate the weeks leading up to the birth of Jesus, we can also look back on our year and reflect on the love and grace that God has bestowed upon us.

We also acknowledge the sacrifice he made to send his only son to die on the cross for our salvation.

While we look to the past to reflect on the lessons learned, we can also look to the future with hope and enthusiasm knowing that we can make a difference in the world while walking in the righteous path of God.

May His hope fill you with love, joy, and peace this Christmas and always.

SPC we have so much in store for you this morning, let’s get to it!
