2023 Ligonier Highland Games

As Executive Director of the Ligonier Highland Games, I’m writing with an offer of a special opportunity for your church group. The Ligonier Highland games, in our 64th year, is one of the oldest continuous Scottish Highland Games in the U.S., celebrating and promoting the traditions, culture and heritage of Scots and our rich legacy, which is deeply entwined with the history of Pennsylvania.

The Ligonier Highland Games will be held on Saturday, September 16th at beautiful Idlewild Park. And we’d like you to join us and come be Scottish for a day, with special reduced ticket pricing that we’d like to share with you.

Last year we welcomed thousands of people to the Ligonier Highland Games. Visitors came not only from throughout Pennsylvania, but from all over the U.S. and from Canada, England, Spain and other countries. We were also honored in 2010 as being the only Highland Games in the United States that the current Lord Lyon of Scotland, official representative of the British Crown, attended, and we have been named several times as one of the best 100 festivals in the U.S.

Our gate admission price this year is $20 for adults and $18 for seniors ($5 for youths ages 12 to 17 and those 11 and under are free), but we are offering a special discount for Churches in the area. We are cutting the ticket prices by $5 for adults/seniors and $3 for youths for advanced purchase of the tickets through this special promotion with orders received by September 8th

Sincerely,

Richard Wonderly
